Dillon Buechel

What is your Height/Weight? 

6’4″, 200 lbs

What is your position? 

Quarterback

Where do you play college football? 

Duquesne University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field? 

During this past fall camp, a group of the seniors went to a local daycare and hung out with a bunch of young kids for a couple hours. We were out on the playground with them most of the time.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Pharmaceutical Principles and Drug Delivery Systems

Where are you from? 

McKees Rocks, PA

Who is your role model, and why? 

My parents, Herman and Janice, because of all the hard work and sacrifices they have made for me both athletically and academically

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

Yes, basketball and baseball

Did you play any other positions in football? 

I have not played any other positions in football 

At your position, what separates you from others? 

 I think the one thing that separates me from others at my position is my intelligence.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

The first thing I look at when break down films are what fronts the defense will play, they look at their top coverages and then get to their pressure looks and blitzes.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 

Noah Spence 

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

Aaron Rodgers because I think he plays with great confidence and can move around to create throws outside of the pocket

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome in my football career is probably being under weight. I’ve worked hard over the past few years in the weight room and with meals to try and get as big and strong as possible. That way I can be as durable as possible on the field.

ddDo you have any pre-game rituals? 

I do not have any pre-game rituals.

What is your biggest strength? 

I think my biggest strength is my intelligence and composure on the field.

What is your biggest weakness? 

I think my biggest weakness is trying to be overly aggressive on some throws.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 

I would say that I’ll come in and do everything that I can to make the team better, regardless of my role.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 

My favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan and Aaron Rodgers

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

If I had the financial ability to do so, I would buy a Range Rover.
