Where do you play college football?

Guilford College

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

The coolest thing that I have done off the field was working as an intern at the YMCA as a camp counselor. It was fun working with the kids and teaching them different things.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Macroeconomics

Where are you from?

China Grove, NC

Who is your role model, and why?

My parents because they have made the biggest impact in my life and they support me in everything that I do.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball and track & field

Did you play any other positions in football?

I played tight end, full back and offensive line.  

At your position, what separates you from others?

My motor and the mentality that I have. I refuse to let the person in front of me beat me.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look at the offensive tackle to see how he pass set and run block. I also look for favorite plays that an offensive like to run on certain down and distances.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

The toughest player I played against was RT David Cooper my junior year from Methodist University. He was strong and played with good technique.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Vinny Curry because of his motor and passion to get to the football. We are built the same too.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle that I had to face was when I strained my MCL during week 4 of my senior year, so I had to fight through adversity to get healthy so I could go out and help my teammates the next week.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I put my headphones in with no music playing to tune out the noise.

What is your biggest strength?

My motor. Wanting to be better than the guy in front of me.

Thinking instead of reacting

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say that I’m coachable and that I’m eager to learn new things so that I can be the best football play that I’m capable of being.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite player is Justin Houston and my favorite team is The Kansas City Chiefs.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

Jesus Christ, Ali and Tom Brady
