What is your name?

Deon Wiggins

What is your Height/Weight?

6’2/175

What is your position?

WR/KR/PR

Where do you play college football?

Husson University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I would say my place of employment, I work at Volunteers of America and I’m a Residential Counselor for the Mental Health. I take care of clients with all different types of Mental Health from schizophrenia to severe trauma even OCD. Working with them is far from easy, and you learn a lot about yourself dealing with those types of people on a daily basis.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Accounting

Where are you from?

Bridgeport, Connecticut

Who is your role model, and why?

My father. He is a hardworking man, never seen him give up on anything. And he is the President of a Youth football team back in my hometown. Always giving back.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Baseball, basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

PR, KR, QB, DB

At your position, what separates you from others?

My play making ability and football IQ. I’m also very smooth in my route running.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

Tendencies, seeing what to pick up from the defense/defender across from me and making sure I don’t have any tendencies. Also, I would look at what routes the DB covers well and what routes he struggles with.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Jean Gabriel

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Stedman Bailey. He is not the quickest WR on the field but he will get the job done. He attacks the ball and makes big plays whether they’re needed or not. He has great hands and runs crisp routes too. Under the radar but in the game he is a big factor on Offense.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

I recently had a baby. Being a father, full-time student and football was a pretty tough juggle for me but I managed it pretty good.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I pray twice, with the team and individually.

What is your biggest strength?

My route running. I know how to get open and create space when needed.

What is your biggest weakness?

My size, it sometimes hinders my physicality.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

You have nothing to lose, and I have everything to lose. All I need is the right resources to really elevate my game and you have that. I just need you to give me a shot. I believe in myself and I can make you a believer as well.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Falcons when they had Mike Vick and Warrick Dunn.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

My cousin Blair may he rest in Peace, Denzel Washington, Barack Obama
