Cowboys WR Dez Bryant deserves to be a top 3 paid wide receiver

dezI have been a fan of Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys since he entered into the NFL.  The reason I love Dez is because he has passion.  People take passion as arrogance, but if you are a competitor you know what Dez Bryant is.  I am a competitor, I hate to lose.  That is what Dez Bryant is for the Dallas Cowboys.  He has turned from an turd off the field into a leader in the locker room.

Dez Bryant is a good mentor for someone like Josh Gordon.  The Dallas Cowboys were criticized for the way they handled Dez after his off the field incidents, but it helped him.  Why?  Because Dez understood that if he wanted to play in this league he needed to act right.  Then he watched his former teammate and friend Justin Blackmon (who has just as much talent) piss away his career for stupid off the field antics.

Some people might look at Dez Bryant and say something bad about his character or his past, but after his mistakes the one thing you can say is he wants the ball.  He knows he is a playmaker and he knows he can change the outcome of a game.  The last real couple receivers that had that mentality wore Dallas Cowboys jerseys.  One was Terrell Owens, who in my opinion is a first ballot Hall of Famer, and the other also dawned the number 88 jersey for the Cowboys.  Yep, Michael Irvin was the same way.

Both of these wide receivers were Hall of Famers, and Dez can be that good.  I feel the Cowboys will strike a huge deal with Dez soon, and when they do, he should be a top paid wide receiver.

With how poor the Dallas defense is this year, I would expect Dez Bryant to break all his past performances, because they will likely be playing from behind.  Last year, Dez caught 93 passes for 1,233 yards and 13 touchdowns. I expect Dez to haul in 118 passes for 1,680 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2014.

This year Dez Bryant will become the leader the Dallas Cowboys needed, too bad the coaching staff will not be with him to watch him grow….
