Could you imagine if Tom Brady had Kenny Britt? Could the Patriots be in play?

Right now Tom Brady is tearing up the NFL and his most veteran receiver is Danny Amendola, who has been injured more than he has played this year.  That is a typical season for him though, as he has not last more than 12 games in any season since he has been in the NFL.  Well now there are rumors that have Kenny Britt on the trading block and the Patriots make the most sense.  I mean they have tons of love for Rutgers players, they are pushing it for Salary Cap, and they need wide receiver help.  Kenny Britt fits that mold to a “T”.

The Titans have talked to several NFL teams regarding struggling receiver Kenny Britt, according to CBS Sports Jason LaCanfora with knowledge of the situation, but have been attempting to get a third-round pick for him, or a combination of picks equal to a third rounder. Other clubs have found that price to be high, sources said, with them viewing Britt, given his off-field issues, expiring contract and lack of any recent production as valued more like a fifth-round pick. Britt is in the final year of his rookie deal, and with a modest salary of $847,500, even teams with salary cap issues in need of a receiver could afford him.

I don’t think that the Pats would give up a 3rd but I wouldn’t doubt them throwing out a 4th or a 5th for Britt who would become their best wide receiver instantly.  Before I give Peyton Manning the crown for best quarterback in the past 10 years, I would love to see Tom Brady with weapons like Peyton.  This would be a start, I would love to see Britt return to his form.
