Chiefs Justin Houston finished .5 sack short of Michael Strahan’s record

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston started the day with 18 sacks on the season, and he nearly matched Michael Strahan’s single-season sack record of 22.5 after a phenomenal four-sack performance against the Chargers.

Houston broke Derrick Thomas’ single-season Chiefs record, and will finish the season with more sacks than any other player in league.

@ESPNNFL: Chiefs Justin Houston finishes 1/2 sack away from the NFL record. His 4 sacks today give him 22 on the season
