Chicago Bears release one player and sign two mini camp guys
Today the Chicago Bears released punter Drew Butler, and in a corresponding move the team signed two mini camp guys.
According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears signed former Louisville running back Senorise Perry. The 6-foot, 187-pound product racked up 1,409 yards and gained 4.9 yards per carry in his collegiate career (2010-2013). Also, the Bears also added North Texas cornerback Marcus Trice. Trice (5-8, 193) notched 153 tackles and intercepted seven passes for North Texas from 2012 through 2013. He began his collegiate career at Oklahoma.
Both players are considered a long shot to make the team. By cutting Butler the team is expected to start draft pick Pat O’Donnell in 2014. We love O’Donnell the kid is a monster punter.
