New York Giants drop 10 picks in the fourth round for walkie talkie violations

Giants drop 10 spots in the 2017 nfl draft

New York Giants have moved from pick 130 to 140 in the 2017 NFL Draft, because they used walkie talkies during a game.

The league fined both the Giants ($150,000) and McAdoo ($50,000) in December for his Week 14 rules-breaking early in the fourth quarter of a 10-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium, and it also announced that Big Blue’s fourth-round pick would fall a maximum of 12 spots.

The Giants were not awarded any compensatory picks. That is not a surprise after their spending spree in free agency last year. The Giants did find out their fourth-round pick drops from No. 130 to No. 140 overall as a result of the discipline they received for using walkie-talkies during a game.

Giants release Victor Cruz and Rashad Jennings; Will not re-sign Larry Donnell

Giants running back Rashad Jennings says the Giants coaches told him not to score

Giants running back Rashad Jennings has been released

Today the New York Giants went on a cutting spree.  They cut ties with former Salsa dancing wide out Victor Cruz, then turned around and axed Rashad Jennings.  Jennings was the teams starting running back.

Jerry Reese the teams GM said this about the former Liberty running back:

“Rashad is a pro’s pro, on and off the field,” general manager Jerry Reese said. “He came to work every day and did everything we asked him to do, and always worked extra to get better at his craft.”

Reese went on to say this about Victor Cruz

“Victor is one of the great stories of the National Football League,” general manager Jerry Reese said. “He came in here and earned everything that he’s gotten. It has been amazing to see him grow from an undrafted free agent to a Pro Bowl player and one of our go-to guys during the Super Bowl XLVI run. He will always be one of the great Giants.

While the Giants did not say if they would re-sign Larry Donnell, Mike Garafolo says that Donnell will become a free agent. Mike  Garafolo of NFL Media is reporting that the Giants will not be re-signing TE Larry Donnell, who will now test the free agent market in the coming weeks.

New York Giants have cut Wide out Victor Cruz

Victor Cruz will not get to Salsa this week, He reinjured his calf muscle today

Victor Cruz has been cut by the Giants

Victor Cruz will not be dancing in New York City much longer unless the Jets want him back.  Today, the veteran wide out was released by the Giants.  Art Stapleton is reporting that the Giants are releasing veteran WR Victor Cruz on Monday.

Cruz cannot stay healthy, and has struggled ever since the team signed Odell Beckham Jr. At one point, Victor Cruz was the face of the Giants team, but he fell off really quickly.  He went from being the man to disappearing.

Many teams could use a player like Victor Cruz, but if he cannot stay healthy he is not worth it.

New York Giants just signed a FREAK football player to a future deal

How many people in your life will tell you, you cannot make it?  Well for Daryl Virgies the former Virginia Lynchburg running back heard that before but he would not quit. Virgies worked very hard and his hard work has finally paid off. Virgies was signed by the New York Giants today.  Let’s take a look at some of his videos on Youtube, the kid is a FREAK!!!

It all started for him in 7 on 7 football, or backyard football in New Jersey.

Here are his numbers from the Regional Combine last year:

  • 40 Yard Dash: 4.40
  • Broad Jump: 11’8
  • Vertical Jump: 41′
  • 20 Yard Shuttle: 4.41

Giants GM Jerry Reese feels Odell Beckham Jr. needs to grow up

Odell Beckham sends a message to defensive backs, Don't double team me, it won't work

Odell Beckham sounds like he is upsetting his administration.

Jerry Reese the New York Giants general manager loves him some Odell Beckham Jr., but seems to be getting upset with Odell’s antics.

“Everybody knows that he is a gifted player, but there are some things that he has done that he needs to look at himself in the mirror and be honest with himself about,” Reese said. “We will help him with that, but he has to help himself, and we believe he will do that. He is a smart guy, but sometimes he doesn’t do smart things.

“We all have had to grow up at different times in our lives, and I think it is time for him to do that. He has been here for three years now and is a little bit of a lightning rod because of what he does on the football field, but the things he does off the football field, he has to be responsible for those things.”
