Browns throw a huge curveball; Interviewing former Bucs coach Greg Schiano
Today Alex Marvez of Fox Sports, threw out a huge curveball in reference to the Cleveland Browns coaching search. He stated that the Browns are going to interview former Bucs head coach Greg Schiano for their vacancy.
Schiano had a pretty successful career in the college ranks for Rutgers, but was a measly 11-21 as a head coach in the NFL. I don’t know what the Browns are thinking, but this looks like great news for Mike Pettine and the Buffalo Bills fanbase. The Browns might have just ran another great prospect out of town.
UPDATE: Greg Schiano interviewed for Cleveland’s head coaching job, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday, per a source with knowledge of Schiano’s schedule. However, he will not be hired, Rapoport added, per a source with knowledge of the Browns’ thinking. The former Buccaneerscoach met with the Browns after Bill Belichick recommended him to team owner Jimmy Haslam, Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the Browns’ situation.
