40 year old mother makes it as an NFL cheerleader (PHOTO)
Who said that you are too old to do something? Well that is not true. Meet the newest member of the New Orleans Saints cheerleading squad: 40-year-old mother of two Kriste Lewis.
A longtime dance instructor who lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Lewis said it was a lifelong dream of hers to try out for the cheer squad, which consists mostly of women from 18 to 30. After turning 40, Lewis tried out for the Saints cheerleading team in April.
“There were a lot of young, beautiful girls,” Lewis said on “Good Morning America” Tuesday. “It was a fear. I will not lie.”
She now becomes the oldest NFL cheerleader, and it sounds like it was quite an accomplishment to her.
