If Packers could somehow land Khalil Mack they may be the favorites to win the Super Bowl

Expect Khalil Mack to double his sack count this season
Could the Packers make a run at Khalil Mack?

Right now the Green Bay Packers have a solid roster, and they have a healthy Aaron Rodgers. That always helps when you want to win football games. The Packers roster right now is pretty solid and according to one online betting site, the Packers are 800 to 1 to win the Super Bowl, according to mobile betting site BetNow.  Only two teams have lower odds, and that is the defending Super Bowl Champions Eagles and the Patriots.

Yesterday, the Packers were able to pull off a trade to acquire Colts leading tackler Antonio Morrison but if they are one of the four teams interested in landing Khalil Mack where would that put the Cheeseheads?

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Oakland Raiders have remained receptive to trade offers for All-Pro edge rusher Khalil Mack, and at least four teams have turned basic inquiries into legitimate interest.

The Packers have the need and could be the team that can make it happen. Packers GM Gutekunst is equipped with two first-round picks and a couple of attractive trade pieces, such as Clay Matthews or Randall Cobb, both proven veterans who are entering the final year of their contracts.

The Packers could really use the help off the edge, and if they could somehow land Mack, that would have to make them the odds on favorites to win the Super Bowl.  With Gruden unhappy right now with the entire Mack situation you have to ask yourself what would get the trade done?

I was thinking maybe Randall Cobb and a first round pick could get a trade done.  I know they may have to throw in another draft pick, but maybe Clay Matthews and a first could get it done. The Raiders likely will not want to lose a pass rusher without getting something back in return.  This trade makes the most sense, and I know the Raiders fans will not be happy with it, but let’s be real it makes sense.  There are currently four teams interested in Mack and with two first round picks the Packers are likely the team that can get it done the easiest.
